



Hyderabad, Ashok Nagar:
Under its flagship Mission 100 Toilet Block Initiative, the Rotary Club of Lake District (RCLD) successfully inaugurated the restoration of the gents’ and ladies’ toilet blocks at the City Library, Ashok Nagar.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Hari Chandana, IAS, District Collector, Hyderabad as the Chief Guest. The event was further dignified by the presence of the Director and Secretary of the City Library, along with senior officials and distinguished guests including Palani Kadhiravan, IAS, Additional Collector, Hyderabad City.
The restoration project involved a complete renovation of toilet facilities for both gents and ladies, directly benefiting nearly 2,000 students who use the City Library daily. The upgraded facilities will significantly improve hygiene, cleanliness, and comfort, ensuring dignity and a healthier environment for students who spend long hours preparing for competitive examinations and academic pursuits.
As part of RCLD’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, three saplings were planted on the library premises during the inauguration.
This green initiative was warmly appreciated by students and library authorities alike, adding a meaningful and eco-conscious dimension to the project.
Students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to RCLD, sharing that the improved facilities address a critical basic need and will greatly enhance their daily library experience. Their feedback highlighted the tangible and positive impact of this service initiative on their lives.
The project was generously sponsored by EPE Filters as part of the Mission 100 initiative.

Speaking on the occasion, K. Upender Reddy, Chairman, Hyderabad City Grandhalaya Samstha, and P. Padmaja, Secretary, Hyderabad City Grandhalaya Samstha, appreciated RCLD’s thoughtful intervention and emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration in improving civic infrastructure for students.
